個人簡介  Brief

陳鏡明,加拿大高級首席科學家(2003),加拿大皇家科學院院士(2006),多倫多大學地理與規劃系終身教授,教育部長江學者“講座教授”,國際地球系統科學研究所(ESSI)學術委員會主任,中國科學院海外評審專家。1982年獲南京氣象學院學士學位,1986年獲英國里丁大學博士學位?,F任Remote Sensing of Environment 主編、Journal of Geophyiscal Research-BiogeosciencesCanadian Journal of Remote Sensing副主編、 Agricultural and Forest Meteorology 編委、美國通量觀測網絡科學指導委員會委員、中國科技部全球變化重大科學研究計劃專家組成員、國務院僑辦海外專家咨詢委員會委員。

陳鏡明教授在定量遙感方面、地球環境和氣候變化以及在理保護環境方面做出了如下突出貢獻:發明了測量葉面積指數的光學儀器;發展了用于衛星圖像處理的最先進的幾何光學4-尺度模式;發展了高光譜5尺度模式,成為機載圖像分析和解譯衛星圖像的重要工具;利用衛星資料、地面資料和模型,發展了地面碳循環監測系統。在加拿大森林碳匯方面的研究成果對制定加拿大國家氣候變化研究計劃及其他相關的政策產生了影響。
